Norm has been a member of the Petroleum Club of WA since the mid-’90s and enjoys regularly attending the dinner and sundowner events, "It's a great platform for networking, meeting new people and catching up with fellow industry colleagues.
One of the best dinner speeches I have ever heard at the club though was Richard Court with his father Sir Charles Court.”

'Schools Information Program' to the 'Next Generation Schools Program' as inaugural Vice President Next Generation.
The new education program "Next Generation" was structured as a one-day program to be held at the Perth Convention
and Exhibition Centre.
"The change of School Information Program was driven by extensive changes in the school curriculum and OS&H standards,
and to ensure that the program remained valuable. The concept was to develop a one-day program, that would promote
career diversity and showcase the broad range of educational pathways and employment opportunities available in the
Oil and Gas industry to year 10 students." said then-President, Mark Small at the 2012 Launch.
Norm also assisted with securing high-profile speakers for events, marketing and sponsorship duties during his term at the club.
For over 30 years Norm has worked in the industry, “I began working in London originally, then moved around Europe,
Middle East, West Africa, Mexico, and the USA before moving to Perth in 1996. I ended up staying to enjoy the Australian
climate and lifestyle.”
In 1996 after his move to Perth, Norm secured a position as Operations Manager at Racal and Thales Geosolutions Australasia, then
went on to work for Fugro and DOF Subsea, where he has been for the last 10 years.
DOF Subsea is a leading provider of integrated subsea and marine services including subsea construction, survey, inspection, repair, maintenance, moorings installation and decommissioning services. “My role is to promote DOF Subsea’s services to the Australasian Region.”
